The Anchorage
Snowmobile Club will be leading a joint club ride with the Curry Ridge
Riders, Saturday January 10th, leaving out of the parking lot at Trapper
Creek Inn at Milepost 114.6 of the Parks Highway.
We will meet at 9:30 AM and plan on leaving the parking lot to ride at
10:00 AM. We will be riding the new section of groomed trail from Trapper
Creek to the Chulitna Bluff Trail and take that around the North Loop and exploring different
swamps to play in along the whole loop. The ride is approximately 75-80
miles and is classified as a family ride, with river and groom trails all
the way and plenty of untouched swamps to play in. Depending on how much
swamp (play) time, you might want to bring extra gas. Also bring a lunch
and drink with you. Dress warm it's been cold up there. A breath deflector
for your helmet might be needed to keep the face shield from icing over.
Check the ASC hot
line 566-0272 for latest updates before departing for the ride.
